Adam Horvath – Member - Social Media Chair -Adam is a born and raised New Jersey native. Graduating from Rowan University with a degree in Business Finance, Adam has worked in the Printing Industry for nearly 20 years working his way up the ranks. He has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Hygrade Business Group, Inc for the past three years.
Adam comes from a family of Military Vets with his father serving in the Navy and his brother and sister serving in the Air Force. Adam is married to his college sweet heart and currently lives in Fanwood, NJ.
John Drinkard - Member - John is a Vietnam Vet, former Marine Corps officer and Naval Aviator. John has been involved in hospice work for over 10 years, is a volunteer at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice and is a key member of the Hospice Veterans Partnership Team (HVP) and a bereavement facilitator.
He is involved with www.soldiersheart.net an active member of the Vietnam Veterans America and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
John is an ordained Minister at the Institute for Spiritual Development (ISD). John also serves as Vice President at ISD.
Sandy Mitchell – Founder and President of Project Help - Sandy has had a long career in the nonprofit sector as well as an amazing career in the corporate environment. She was in the financial sector of a fortune 100 company and attained middle management level during her tenure. She studied at WPU, Chubb, and Sacred Heart High School in Elizabeth NJ.
Sandy was married to a Vietnam veteran, has three adult children and two grandchildren which are the joy of her life. Sandy resides in northern New Jersey and enjoys bike riding and helping people in distress, especially veterans.
Samantha Alfonso, J.D – Member- Samantha graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013 with a degree in Public Administration and a minor in Criminal Justice. Samantha continued her education at The University of Miami Law School, graduating in 2016.
Samantha currently resides in Northern New Jersey with her adorable Yorkiepoo puppy named Khufu
Brian Beck – Secretary - Brian is an Administrative Manager for a large healthcare system in the New York Metro area. He has been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years.
Brian is near completion of his MBA at the State University of New York- Empire State College. His passion to help serve our veterans was passed down to him from his father, who in addition to having served as a Marine in the Vietnam War, was also a Social Worker for the VA and with other Vets that suffered with Drug Abuse and PTSD.
Samuel K. Burlum – Treasurer – is a successful entrepreneur and the genius behind Extreme Energy Solutions Inc. He is a business consultant, author, investigative reporter, and race car team owner.
Sam has served a number of non-profits including those associated with the arts, Veteran services, sustainable community development and advocacy, and small business advocacy, and assisted with a number of fundraisers which benefited Veterans, law enforcement, and education.
He has also authored and contributed content that has impacted public policy, addressing research and development, green tech, and tax code reform.
Sam is a native of New Jersey, has one child and is very community oriented. He graduated to Berkeley College in NJ with a degree in business.
Project Help Leaders
Cathy Leddy Codner – Member – is in the travel business and works with notables to take care of every aspect of their agenda.
She is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and is very involved in her church as part of a prayer team. Cathy is very much involved with her community and in service as time permits.
Cathy lives in South Jersey and is the caregiver of her aging mother.
Adam Shuren - Vice President - is an Information Technology professional. He currently manages a consulting group in Parsippany and has been with that company for fifteen years.
Prior to that, Adam had a variety of careers in the food and beverage industry.
Adam is near completion with his MBA at Thomas Edison State University. He resides in NJ and will be married to the love of his life this year. He is excited to take on this next phase of his life.
Adam has a passion to help serve our veterans who selflessly gave so much in defense of our liberty. As the son of a police officer and a cousin to many in the military, he understands the need for communities to pull together to help our vets. Serving our veterans and their families is his patriotic contribution to his country.
